McGriff promotes Sanders to Area Executive for Tennessee

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – McGriff has promoted Gary Sanders to area executive for its Tennessee offices. His primary role will be to lead McGriff’s four insurance offices in Tennessee while continuing to build a strong culture and drive organic growth and client retention for the employee benefits and property and casualty lines of business.
Sanders joined McGriff in January 2023 as property and casualty growth leader for Tennessee before he was promoted to managing executive for the Chattanooga office in May. He brings 14 years of insurance experience to his new role, including previous positions as a property and casualty broker for another large brokerage and commercial lines leader for a Texas-based broker.
“Gary’s passion for helping his teammates succeed along with his desire and experience in delivering highly personalized client service make him the ideal person to lead our Tennessee offices, an important market for us,” said Robert Drew, president of McGriff’s Birmingham, Ala.-based South Region.
