Community
One way we give back to our communities is by volunteering our time to serve others. In fact, we provide each of our teammates up to two paid days off a year that can be used specifically for volunteering and community service.
In 2019 alone, McGriff teammates volunteered more than 12,000 hours to help more than 327,000 people in their communities by building houses, working at food banks and soup kitchens, tutoring at-risk students, and more. The organizations we’ve supported include Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Boys and Girls Clubs of America, Habitat for Humanity, Ronald McDonald House Charities, and YMCA/YWCA as well as local area food banks and homeless shelters.

When we delivered the lunch kits, they expressed how grateful they were for our contribution, since the number of children in their program has nearly doubled during the pandemic. Even when we’re physically distanced, we can still work together to make a difference in our community.”

Internship program
McGriff is a Sustaining Partner of Gamma Iota Sigma(opens in a new tab), the insurance industry’s premier collegiate talent pipeline, through which we collaborate with colleges and universities across the country to identify candidates for our internship program.
As a McGriff intern, college students have the opportunity to get first-hand experience in property and casualty insurance and employee benefits through our brokerage firm, during which they learn a wide range of concepts, programs and services designed to prepare them for a full-time job opportunity anywhere in our organization.
