McGriff Welcomes Carille to Environmental Practice

November 3, 2021

McGriff today announced that Daniel Carille has joined its Environmental Practice as vice president and lead environmental marketer. Based in New York City, Carille specializes in environmental risk strategy, and development and placement for energy, power and large commercial clients.

Carille is joining the Environmental Practice after three years on the McGriff Energy Team, where he provided complex consultative brokerage and policy placement for large power and commercial clients. Prior to joining McGriff, he served as a client advisor and placement specialist on the environmental team of a large global broker for five years before assuming client-facing roles with that and other top brokers.

In his new role, Carille will help McGriff clients manage their global environmental risk, and transfer current and legacy environmental liabilities. He has been heavily involved recently in liability transfer for contaminated coal-fired plants from the utility to private sectors. He has close relationships with top environmental insurers.

“We are excited to continue to expand our Environmental Practice and thrilled to have Dan join us in this important work,” said Cliff Yeckes, senior vice president and Environmental Practice leader. “Dan’s strong market knowledge, extensive experience and broad industry relationships will certainly be an asset to our team and the companies with whom we work.”

Carille earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from Monmouth University and his master’s degree in sustainability management from Columbia University. He is a licensed property and casualty and life, accident and health broker.
