FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – McGriff has hired Austin Jones as sales leader for Florida and practice leader for the state’s new condo team. The senior vice president is joining McGriff with over 10 years of experience in the condominium and multi-family specialty market, mostly in Florida.
Based in Fort Lauderdale, Jones will oversee sales development and strategy for Florida and lead McGriff’s first practice group focused on the booming condo market in the Sunshine State. He previously served as a sales leader with a national broker in South Florida, where he was responsible for client acquisition, sales team development, and coaching.
“Austin’s experience and leadership will help position our firm for continued growth in Florida, especially with recruiting and sales team development for the condo market,” said Tom Beck, Florida regional president for McGriff. “With his insight and knowledge of developing trends and key issues facing our clients, prospects, and the insurance market, we are very excited to welcome him to our team.”
Jones earned his bachelor’s degree in risk management and insurance from Florida State University and his master’s degree in business administration from William & Mary. He also served in the U.S. Navy, earning the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
