Specialized coverage for your watercraft and RV needs

From boats to mega-yachts and fifth wheels to full-sized motor homes, the McGriff Recreational Specialty team is here to help you get the insurance coverage you need. Our specialists will consult with you to understand your needs and then compare rates from the nation’s top insurance companies. Our goal is to ensure you get the coverage you need at a price point that best fits your life.

Boat and watercraft coverage options

If you don’t have a separate boat or private watercraft insurance policy, you’re probably underinsured. Most homeowners insurance policies have size restrictions, limitations on horsepower, and limits on damage coverage for watercraft. We can customize a policy for you that includes:

  • Liability coverage, which protects you against damage to others or their personal property
  • Collision coverage to protect you against accidents with underwater objects and other watercraft
  • Medical payments for accident-related injuries
  • Damages to any accessories, such as personal items or fishing equipment
  • Uninsured boater liability, which protects you if you’re in an accident with a boater who has no insurance
  • Total loss replacement if your boat is destroyed
  • Towing for your damaged boat
  • Emergency expenses to cover temporary living expenses
  • Fire and theft coverage for your watercraft contents

RV coverage options

RV insurance can be very different from car insurance depending on the type of RV or motorhome you own — and how much you use it. Whether you have a fifth wheel for weekend getaways, a large RV for extended vacations or a motorhome that’s your primary residence, we’ll make sure you have the right coverage to keep your RV and your family protected. We offer RV coverage for:

  • Collision coverage to help pay for repairs or replacement if your RV is hit by another vehicle or collides with an object (such as a tree)
  • Comprehensive coverage, which helps cover repairs if your RV is damaged by something other than a collision, such as a hailstorm or vandalism
  • Liability coverage, which protects you against damage to others or their personal property
  • Underinsured/uninsured motorist coverage, which protects you if you’re in an accident with a driver who has little or no insurance
  • Personal items to cover your clothing, electronics and tools
  • Accessories to protect your awnings, antennas, satellite dishes and other attached accessories
  • Emergency expenses to pay for temporary living costs—such as hotel stay and car rental—if your RV is involved in an accident more than 50 miles from home
  • Fire, flood and theft to insure both your recreational vehicle and its contents
  • Coverage for towing and companion vehicles, such as a travel trailer
